Essays on Iran aims to collect only the information reasonably needed to operate submissions, comments, moderation, and publication.
Essay submissions
When you submit an essay, we may collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, biography, website or social link, essay title, and essay text. We use it to review your submission, communicate with you about it, and manage the editorial process. Submission does not guarantee publication.
Comments
When you submit a comment, we may collect your display name, email address, and comment text. Your email address is used for moderation and administrative purposes and is not displayed publicly. Only approved comments become public.
Published work
If an essay is accepted and published, information intentionally associated with publication may become public, including an author name or pen name, biography, essay content, and other author information intended for publication. Private editorial email addresses are not published automatically.
Service providers
Information may be processed through Cloudflare and Resend, services used to operate Essays on Iran. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies.
Our approach
Essays on Iran does not sell personal information. We aim to use the information we receive only as reasonably needed to run the publication and its editorial processes.
